Juniors
U15s
The under 15’s gave us another nail biting game last night at home against Haslington…….they defo know how to keep us on the edge of our seats. It was a solid bowling display from the U15’s, restricting Haslington to 104 then Northwich leaving only 6 balls spare to complete the chase resulting in a victory of 4 wickets. 3 wins out of 3 for these lads! Mega proud of not only the wins but the team spirit and the way this team hold themselves - a credit to our club!
U13s vs Nantwich CC
Bank holiday Monday is all about junior cricket here at Northwich with our Under 13’s having a morning game against Nantwich.
Northwich opting to field first and although Northwich took a couple of early wickets and a fantastic direct hit run out they were left chasing 139. Although a tough ask, the lads gave it a good go with the opening batters retiring and another ball nearly lost on Moss Farm! Unfortunately Nantwich put on a strong bowling performance during the last few overs meaning a defeat of 35. So proud of how the lads held themselves today - didn’t give up and gave the chase a really good go! Well done lads - bring on the cup game later this week!
Oulton Park CC Vs U11s
On Wednesday our Under 11s put in a great performance Away against Oulton Park. Our opening batters got us off to a great start, hitting boundaries without losing a wicket. The runs kept on coming with everyone contributing to the fabulous total of 114 runs. The Northwich bowling proved equally impressive with the team accurately hitting the stumps 10 times, including a run out from fine leg with a direct hit at the bowlers end. Northwich taking the victory by 49 runs. The cricket games are coming thick and fast as we start our cup run at home to Holmes Chapel on Sunday morning and then travel to Tattenhall in the league next Wednesday.
Nantwich CC Vs U9s
To finish off the bank holiday weekend our under 9’s travelled to Nantwich. Northwich took a massive 11 wickets and hit 10 boundaries to secure the victory by 39 runs! This team are coming on leaps and bounds already. Can’t wait to see what the rest of the season brings for our youngest age group!
Junior Novas Vs Irby CC - Cancelled
Our girls team were due to play their first ever game today but due to unforeseen circumstances the game has had to be re-arranged… but that didn’t stop us getting our cricket fix!
