1st XI Match Report | Northwich CC vs Westminster Park CC | 16th May 2026
A frustrating afternoon for the 1st XI as their home fixture against Westminster Park CC was abandoned due to the weather.
The lads had won the toss and elected to bat, and were in fine form with the bat, posting an impressive 192-3 from 37 overs before the match was called off. Both sides shared the points, but it was a real shame not to see the game through given how well Northwich were batting. Hopefully the weather is kinder next time out.
2nd XI Match Report | Hale Barns CC vs Northwich CC | 16th May 2026
A difficult afternoon for the 2nd XI away at Hale Barns, going down by 10 wickets as the hosts chased down the target without loss inside 11 overs.
Northwich were bowled out for 72 from 28 overs, with James Maddock top-scoring with 20. Fisal Nasir was exceptional with the ball for Hale Barns, taking 6 wickets, and the home side's openers made short work of the chase.
A tough one to take, but the side will regroup and come back stronger. On to the next.
3rd XI Match Report | Widnes CC vs Northwich CC | 17th May 2026
What a game this was, and what a gut-wrenching way to lose it. The 3rd XI fell agonisingly short against Widnes CC, going down by just 11 runs in a brilliant contest at Northwich.
Winning the toss and electing to field, Northwich worked hard throughout as Widnes posted 202-6 from 40 overs. A century from Widnes opener Alex Curlett proved the difference, but the Northwich bowlers kept plugging away with Eshan Bhatt (2-29) and Daniel Aspinall (2-27) the pick of the attack.
In reply, Northwich gave it everything. Alex Plank led the way with a fine 64, and James Maddock chipped in with 68, the pair putting on a superb third-wicket partnership of 131 that gave Northwich every chance. But once both fell in quick succession, the lower order couldn't quite get the side over the line, finishing on 191 all out from 38 overs.
An 11-run defeat that will sting, but a performance the 3rds can be genuinely proud of. Brilliant effort from all involved.

WHAT A GAME! Both teams putting in a strong performance resulting in a close, nail biter of a game with the result being decided by the very last ball!

Aston Vs U15s
The U15s took on the long journey to play Aston and made it a hat trick of wins for all age groups! A great performance saw Northwich bat first and make an impressive 160 runs for Aston to chase, which was too much for the opposition, keeping them to 113 off the 20 overs. Shout out to the whole team for putting on a fantastic fielding display, clearly the training is paying off!
