A tough afternoon for the 1st XI away at Over Peover CC, who ran out winners by 81 runs in a game that always felt just out of reach.

Chester Boughton Hall won the toss and elected to bat, posting a commanding 322-6 from their 50 overs. Northwich's bowlers worked hard throughout but were unable to contain the visitors on the day.
Chasing 323, Northwich were bowled out for just 117 in 21.2 overs. Patrick Grice top-scored with 32 and Jack Baskeyfield contributed 18, but Chris Bell was unplayable for the visitors, taking 5 wickets from 6 overs. Mandeep Nain claimed 3 more to skittle Northwich well short of the target.
Women's Softball Match Report | Alsager CC vs Northwich CC | 19th August 2026
A narrow and frustrating defeat for the Northwich Women's Softball team away at Alsager CC, going down by just 2 wickets in a tightly contested game.
Alsager won the toss and elected to field. Northwich posted 102-9 from their 18.1 overs. M Ball top-scored with 24, B Pilkington contributed 23, D Hunt added 15, and K Saunders chipped in with 14, but the side were unable to build a bigger total on the day. C Jones-Bourn took 2 wickets for Alsager, with H Elliott, S Spiers-King and D Foxley-Smith each claiming 1.
