A very tough afternoon for the 2nd XI at home against Timperley CC, who ran out winners by a huge margin of 197 runs.

Northwich won the toss and elected to field, but Timperley posted a commanding 288 all out from 47.5 overs. Matthew Fletcher top-scored with 68, Matt Wardle contributed 55, and Kiran Mogal added 62 to build a formidable total. Charlie Shuttleworth was the standout bowler for Northwich, taking 5 wickets from 9.5 overs, and Jack Baskeyfield chipped in with 2 wickets from 6 economical overs.

Chasing 289, Northwich were bowled out for just 91 in 20.3 overs. James Collins top-scored with 18, Charlie Shuttleworth contributed 14, and Finlay Atherton hit a bright 12 at the end, but the side were unable to build any meaningful partnerships. Ishan Maharajan was devastating with the ball for Timperley, taking 7 wickets from 6 overs, with Vipul Garg adding 2 more to wrap up the innings.

3rd XI Match Report | Middlewich CC vs Northwich CC| 19th July 2026

A brilliant away win for the 3rd XI, beating Middlewich CC by 105 runs in a dominant all-round performance.

Middlewich won the toss and elected to field, but Northwich posted a strong 183 all out from 33.2 overs. Charlie Shuttleworth was the star of the show with a superb 66, and Pritish Bachhav contributed a solid 29. James Maddock added 25 at the top of the order, Matthew Evans chipped in with 18, and Rajishan Sivakumar finished unbeaten on 17 to help Northwich post a competitive total. Isaac Wood was the pick of the Middlewich bowling with 3 wickets from 6 tight overs.

In reply, Middlewich were bowled out for just 78 in 25.2 overs. Rajishan Sivakumar was outstanding with the ball, taking 2 wickets from 7 economical overs, and James Maddock, Jomy John, Matthew Evans and Daniel Aspinall all claimed 2 wickets apiece to bowl Middlewich out well inside their allocation. Jonas Flanagan top-scored for Middlewich with 32, but there was never enough resistance to threaten the Northwich total.

Women's Softball Match Report | Northwich CC vs Christleton CC | 19th July 2026

A frustrating home defeat for the Northwich Women's Softball team, going down by 18 runs to Christleton CC in a competitive game.

Northwich won the toss and elected to field. Christleton posted 117-1 from their 16 overs, a strong total that always looked challenging to chase. Jane Brown and Sabina Burda were the pick of the Northwich bowlers, each taking 2 wickets, with Maddy Nicholson also chipping in with a wicket.

Chasing 118, Northwich posted a competitive 99-6 from their 16 overs but fell 18 runs short. Jane Ball top-scored with 22, Rachael Thomas contributed 11, and Isla Craig added 20 before being run out, but the side could not quite find the big hitting needed in the closing overs to get over the line.

U15s vs Elworth CC

In their second to last game of the season our under 15’s brushed off last weeks unlucky defeat against top of the league Elworth (by 1 run) to beat Congleton by 29 runs. Fab couple of games, a fantastic effort against Elworth and a great game against Congleton which brings us back to winning ways.
