1st XI Match Report | Northwich CC vs Weaverham CC | 18th April 2026
Northwich CC 1st XI got their season off to a winning start with a 28-run victory over Weaverham CC on Saturday.

Batting first, Northwich were bowled out for 110, with Jacob Booty top-scoring with 33 and Jamie McDougall contributing 22. Tharsan Thayalan was the pick of the Weaverham bowlers, taking an impressive 4-19, while Archie Lightfoot chipped in with 3-19.

In reply, Weaverham never got going and were dismissed for just 82. Jamie McDougall took 2-19 with the ball, supported by Ashley Sefton (2-5), Lampotharan Sivakumar (2-20) and Rob Bushell (2-5), as Northwich bowled their opponents out with nearly 15 overs to spare.

2nd XI Match Report | Northwich CC vs Runcorn CC | 18th April 2026
Northwich CC 2nd XI fell to a 51-run defeat at home to Runcorn CC on Saturday.

Having won the toss and elected to field, Northwich made a bright start with the ball. Jack Baskeyfield was economical throughout, while Matthew Evans, Harry Dent and Eshan Syed all chipped in with two wickets apiece. However, a brilliant 84 from John Dempsey, supported by Jamie Hill's late 28 not out, helped Runcorn post a challenging 234-9 from their 50 overs.

In reply, Jomy John top-scored with an unbeaten 55 and Thusyanthan Rajaretnam contributed a patient 28 not out, but Northwich fell short on 183-5, with the target proving just too steep.

Under 9s | Season Opener vs Bunbury
What a way to kick off the junior season! The Under 9s made the trip to Bunbury on Monday evening and came away with a brilliant victory, winning by 21 runs. With 5 players making their debuts, it was a proud night for the whole group. Every single player contributed with both bat and ball, as Northwich posted 102-5 from their 16 overs before bowling Bunbury out for 71. But the real highlight was the spirit shown throughout, loads of smiles, encouragement and support for one another from first ball to last. That's what it's all about.

Under 15s | Season Opener vs Middlewich
And they're off! The Under 15s kicked off their season in style with a home win against Middlewich. Winning the toss and choosing to field, the lads put in a brilliant all-round bowling display with 7 wickets shared between 7 different bowlers, a real team effort from start to finish. With the bat, ten boundaries and a massive six sealed the deal as Northwich cruised to victory by 8 wickets. A perfect start. A big shout out to the Under 13s who stepped up to be part of the side tonight. Well done lads, here's to a great season ahead!

Under 11s | Home against Holmes Chapel

Our under 11’s stepped up to their first game of the season at home to Holmes Chapel on Wednesday. With over half the team making the leap to hardball it was a lovely (but cold) night for a game of cricket. Northwich secured the victory through a strong batting and bowling performance!
