Juniors

U15s
Our Under 15’s travelled to deepest Middlewich tonight hoping to get back to winning ways and they did exactly that! Winning the toss and opting to bat first the team made an impressive 157 runs with no wickets being taken! Shout out to our opening 3 batters who all retired! Absolutely fantastic! Middlewich gave the chase a good go but through some consistent bowling our under 15’s took the victory by 37 runs! Well done lads - great team effort!

U13s
Our Under 13’s have a bumper week of cricket with 3 games! Monday the team were away at Wistaston and WHAT A GAME! Northwich opened the batting and made a healthy 118 but wistaston really took on the chase and with 4 overs left we thought they were going to do it but our closing bowlers were absolutely fantastic and it went down to the last ball to make it a tie!! Heart in mouth stuff!!!!

On Tuesday it was our turn in the semi final of the cup against a very strong Nantwich! Our visitors chose to bat first and absolutely brought their A game making 173 runs! The chase seems a tough ask but our Under 13’s took it on with our opening batter retiring and some really confident performances from the middle order. In any other game it would have been enough but unfortunately not this time. In the end Nantwich took the victory but only by a respectable 34 runs. To make the semi final is a fantastic achievement and we are very proud! Best of luck to Nantwich and Davenham in the final - no doubt it will be a great game!

We closed a week of cricket last night with our under 13’s taking on Holmes Chapel at home and it turned out to be one of the best batting games this season - with across both teams a massive 330 runs made including 41 fours and 8 massive sixes. In the end Holmes Chapel won the game by 10 runs but what an entertaining, competitive game - which went right to the last over and could have gone either way! Well done to all involved!

U11s
Our under 11’s made the long old drive to Wistaston for a league game. Northwich opened the game by bowling first and took some fabulous wickets and catches! Really positive start to the game! Although we put on a strong batting performance, it feels like it is a week of close games for Northwich juniors, as this game went right into the last over and Wistaston took 2 late wickets and took the victory by only 7 runs! The rain held off to make it a fantastic competitive game with 2 teams fighting it out until the end! Well done Team!

U9s
After a tough game on Friday against an experienced Davenham Team which saw our Under 9’s cup run come to an end in the quarter final, the team got back to winning ways tonight against Haslington. Although a very very close game Northwich took the win by just 2 runs! Calls outs for some tight bowling and confident batting! Fabulous team effort! Well done lads!
