def.
Weaverham CC 1st XI - 71 all out (29.1 overs)

After being put into bat, Northwich struggled to build momentum on a challenging wicket, with wickets falling at regular intervals. Only Hariprashanth Visvanathan (30 off 36) and Prasanth Prasannan (23 off 24) made meaningful contributions as the hosts were bowled out for 105 in just 28.2 overs.

Kevin Douglas did the damage with the ball for Weaverham, returning outstanding figures of 6 for 23, tearing through Northwich’s top and middle order.

Despite defending a modest total, Northwich came out fired up with the ball and delivered a superb bowling display. Aswin Gopi was the standout, claiming a sensational 5 for 9 from 5.1 overs, ripping through the Weaverham middle and lower order.

He was brilliantly supported by Hariprashanth Visvanathan (2 for 14) and Vijesh Muringaparambil (2 for 11), as the visitors were bundled out for just 71 inside 30 overs. Only Jake Lightfoot (27 off 74) provided any real resistance for Weaverham in an otherwise dominant bowling performance by Northwich.

The 34-run win marks a gritty and determined effort from Northwich 1st XI, defending a low total with heart and precision to seal another vital victory.
