Stockport Trinity vs 2nd XI
Northwich 2nd XI pulled off a thrilling one-wicket win away at Stockport Trinity in a match that went right down to the wire. After a tidy bowling performance saw Trinity dismissed for 122—with Lampotharan Sivakumar and Muhammad Iqbal impressing—Northwich made hard work of the chase. A steady 28 from William Price provided some foundation, and despite a flurry of late wickets, the visitors held their nerve to scrape over the line in the 33rd over. Match Report.

3rd XI vs Tattenhall
Northwich 3rd XI faced a tough challenge against Tattenhall on May 11, 2025. After Tattenhall elected to bat first, they posted a solid total of 212 for 5 in their 40 overs. Juniors

U15s vs Middlewich CC
Yet again, our under-15s took the game right to the wire, this time against a young, talented Middlewich side, which we had always known would be a tough game! Northwich won the toss and opted to bat first, setting an impressive target of 141 runs, with three batters making over 20 runs and 1 retiring! It was the bowling which really secured the victory, even though the first wicket didn’t fall until the 15th over, through some consistent, strong bowling, Northwich kept the run rate really controlled. Middlewich put in a competitive chase towards the end, making it a very close game with only 22 runs in it!

U13s
What a Friday night down at Northwich cricket club! The sun was shining, training was on for our ladies, girls, under 9’s and under 11’s… and to top the night off, our under 13’s managed to squeeze in a cup game! Our talented under-13s did not disappoint with seven batters making an impressive 158 runs, including fourteen 4s and two 6s, with two of our batters retiring. Oulton Park gave the chase a good go, but Northwich managed to keep them to 108 runs! A victory for our under 13’s in the first round of the cup… on to the next round - bring it on.

Our Under 13s played Oulton Park for the second time in a few days… this time, Northwich travelled to Oulton Park. Northwich won the toss and opted to field, Oulton Park put on a great batting performance with 3 batters getting over 20 runs… but to match that, Northwich put on arguably their strongest fielding performance this season with a record 5 catches (by 5 different players!), a run out and 2 bowled. Some incredibly tight death bowling meant the hosts posted 127 all out. Northwich had 128 to win and it felt like a tall ask, but some strong, consistent and steady batting performances meant we completed the chase with seven wickets and three overs left! Fantastic team performance leading to 3 wins out of 4 in the league!

U11s
On a lovely Sunday, Sunny morning, our Under 11’s welcomed Holmes Chapel in their first round of the South Cheshire Cup, and to follow in the Under 13’s footsteps, moved through the next round with a victory of 55 runs. Northwich batted first, and there was a healthy mixture of steady, consistent batting and also some confident hits to the boundary, leading to a couple of big scores! Bowling was equally as steady with a number of wickets, and again a fabulous run out!

Our under-11s travelled to Tattenhall on Tuesday. Northwich batted first and, although losing a few early wickets, managed to score a respectable 86 through steady, sensible batting! Our bowling was what really secured the victory…. with another hat trick taken. That is two in two days for our juniors! Impressive stuff. It was a lovely game against a lovely opposition. Well done, Team!

U9s
Our under-9s hosted Oulton Park at home. It was a mega impressive performance from our under 9’s who fielded first and collectively took 11 wickets… with one bowler getting five wickets and completing the first hat trick of the season for Northwich. Batting was equally as impressive with 13 boundaries leading to a total of 101 runs. A victory of 87 runs means three wins in 3 for this team! What a start to this season.
