Juniors
U15s
Our Under 15’s got over the mega close game last week to ensure a victory against Oulton Park and Bunbury. Oulton Park and Bunbury winning the toss and opting to bat first, Northwich put on a strong fielding and bowling display and were left chasing 109. 5 batters stepped up to ensure the chase was completed, with 2 giant sixes being hit and 10 boundaries! Well done lads - fab performance!
U13s
Our under 13’s travelled the long distance to face Bunbury away tonight. After some really strong batting performance of late we expected to start strong, but Bunbury took some early wickets. Luckily some strong middle order batting made the score a respectable 104. The Northwich lads put on a brave bowling display which took the game to the very last ball but Bunbury secured the victory! Not our night but respect for the lads who never gave up and made it a great game to watch!
U9s
Our under 9’s started the week with a game against Middlewich. This brilliant young team showed some exceptional bowling and big, strong batting to set up an impressive 73 run victory.
They made it two wins in two nights tonight with a strong victory by 120 runs against Haslington. With 10 massive boundaries hit and 8 wickets taken the whole team contributed to the win! What a fantastic season this team is having! Competing to be at the top of the table! What a team - well done lads!
Junior Novas
Our fabulous girls team took on Irby on a lovely sunny night at Northwich cricket club! Considering this was only their second game this team’s attitude and support for each other, along with the improvements in every player is fantastic to see. Tonight was not our night results wise but just great to be out there and getting game time, and of course an ice lolly to cool down at the end! With two more games planned for next week and the sun to stay shining (we hope)… watch this space for more updates from this group!
